In the dark blue central field a beige mihrab surmounted by a horseshoe arch, with a lamp hung on a double chain. In the spandrels: on either side two symmetrical, leafy, whitish grey tendrils with inscribed stylised motifs. Above the top two decorative stripes. One, within the field, makes up with it a row of overlapping blue-and-silver arches; the first are filled with geometric motifs the colour of the tendril, the other are decorated with motifs of tulips and leafy stalks. Above there is a cinnamon-brown stripe with alternating rosettes and strongly geometric palmettes and a cartouche along the axis. We warmly invite you to become more acquainted with full description of this rug published in “Prayer Rugs Collection catalogue" by Katarzyna Połujan (Teresa Sahakian Foundation, The Royal Castle in Warsaw – Museum), Warsaw 2015.
