The background in varying shades of navy blue shows a niche with a rectangular top, capped by a triangular roof, set off by means of a white stripe, not touching the border, decorated with a zigzag motif and (within the triangular roof with a narrow strip) and outlined by a pair of bands of blue-and-brown and red-and-white slanted strips. Along the outer edge of the top a stripe with the motif of a varicoloured meander. The niche is filled with an all-over design composed of serrated rosettes along the axis, separated from one another and flanked by motifs of horns and pairs of stylised animal figures (three incomplete rows of the pattern). In the top of the mihrab a cartouche with the date 1595 . In each of the upper corners of the field a figure of an animal and right above it a human being (most likely a rider). Between the principal elements of field decoration there are small rosettes, asterisks, S motifs, and a jug, repeated four times.
