Half-length portrait of King with head turned 3 left shown wearing a wig with a queue. His left hand resting on his waist, he is dressed in an open justaucorps over a cuirass and wearing an Order riband. Star of the Danish Order of the Elephant on left chest. The entire composition is within a frame standing on a pedestal set within a rectangular frame. The age of the sitter is incorrectly given in the oval due to an error on the part of the engraver. Identical composition but in reverse, with an inscription in Dutch, can be found in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw (Gr. Pol.24692, see: Łomnicka–Żakowska 1997, pp. 150–1, item 58).
