The painting is listed in the 1795 catalogue of the Stanisław August collection under no. 207: “La mariée Juive, debout a mi Corps, les deux mains sur une table, coifée d’un bonnet de velours noir qui lui fait ombre a moitie du Visage, ses Cheveux lui pendent sur les Epaules". From 1815 property of Kazimierz Rzewuski, after 1820 inherited by the Lanckorońskis in Vienna; 1994 gift of Karolina Lanckorońska to the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Signed and dated approx.. 35 cm from lower left edge: Rembrandt f/1641. Red number 207 of Stanisław August collection top left.
