Knee-length portrait, shown facing 3 right in Catogan wig tied with ribbon at the back, wearing a justaucorps over a cuirass, the Order of the Golden Fleece on a ribbon about the neck and the riband of the Order of the White Eagle on chest; the star of the Order of the White Eagle on the justaucorps; under his left arm he holds a hat with plumes, gloves in his left hand with regalia on left in background; on the right is a column covered with drapery. Signature cut off: should be bottom left: Peint par Louise Silvestre, premiere Peinture du Roy en 1743. bottom right: Gravé a Berlin par G.F. Schmidt, Graveur du Roy. The inscription under the composition is separated by a shield, surmounted by a crown, with the coats of arms of Poland and Lithuania and of the Elector of Saxony: Auguste III Roy de Pologne / Electeur de Saxe.
