Knee-length portrait shown facing 3 left wearing a curled wig. Dressed in armour with the Order of the Golden Fleece about the neck and riband of the Order of the White Eagle. Ermine-lined cloak over right shoulder, holding a baton in his right hand, his left on a plumed helmet. To left regalia and beneath them a shield with the coat of arms of the King of Poland and the Wettins. The King is shown against the backdrop of a tent with a battle scene visible on the right. Frontispiece to Grosse Vollständigens Universal Lexicon Aller Wissenschaften ind Künste, vol. 3, B–Bi, Halle und Leipzig, published by Johann Heinrich Sedler, Anno 1733. Signed: Bottom right under the composition Mentzel sc. Lips. Inscribed: under the composition FRIDERICUS AUGUSTUS/ Rex Poloniarum Elektor Saxoniae etc.
